In Gelendzhik, more than 500 people come to rally against demolition of cottages

Today, at 11:00 a.m., more than 500 people came to an authorized protest rally against the actions of the local and regional authorities. The action was held in Gelendzhik in the square in front of the Palace of Culture, Arts and Recreation.

The rally was attended by owners of cottages and land plots in the village of Pushkinsky Dol, who suffered from fraud with the land plots. They demanded the resignation of judges and officials.

On the stage arranged for the protesters' speeches, a banner was unfolded with the inscription reading: "Gelendzhik is the territory of deceit." In their hands, the protesters were holding posters with the slogans reading, "Deceivers are getting fat, while our children are holing up!"

The rally was opened by Alexander Eremeev, a disabled wheelchair user, one of the organizers of the protest action. He told the audience that he was a cadet of a military college and after his injury in 2013, he together with his family members rented a land plot in the village of Pushkinsky Dol. His father built a small house in the village. At present, his family members face a threat of being evicted from their only shelter. "We have one way out, that is, to struggle; otherwise, we will all remain homeless. Being an organizer of the rally, I oppose the arbitrariness of the authorities and the arbitrariness of courts and judges of the Krasnodar Territory," said Alexander Eremeev.
