Law enforcers have discovered explosives, weapons, and ammunition in a house where Khadjimurad Gadjiev, the leader of the Khunzakh militant grouping, was killed. This is reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 13, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the village of Orota in the Khunzakh District of Dagestan. One person was killed. According to sources from the law enforcement agencies, the killed man was Khadjimurad Gadjiev, the leader of the Khunzakh grouping of militants.
According to the NAC, the killed man was identified as Khadjimurad Gadjiev, who was on the federal wanted list since 2014, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Khadjimurad Gadjiev was declared dead after a shootout which occurred in the village of Orota on March 11, 2016. However, when the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) officially announced the information about the killed people, the name of Khadjimurad Gadjiev was not listed. The "Caucasian Knot" was told by a source from the law enforcement agencies that former law enforcer Khadjimurad Gadjiev was put on the wanted list in October 2014. According to the source, Khadjimurad Gadjiev was accused of murder, illegal circulation of arms within a group of persons, and involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF).
