Woman with four children detained at Gerzel checkpoint

The police detained 35-year-old Marziyat Gadjikurbanova with four children at the Gerzel checkpoint, when she was travelling in a shuttle bus on the route Makhachkala-Kiev.

Today, at 3:00 p.m. Moscow time, the shuttle bus was detained on the border with Chechnya. The resident of Ukraine with four children was taken off the bus after the passport control.

The police explained to Marziyat Gadjikurbanova that she had to talk to a precinct police inspector. The woman associated the request with the change in her residence and also with the fact that her husband had been put on the wanted list.

"Marziyat Gadjikurbanova is kept at the police station. Her daughter stayed with her, but she was taken out. We are not allowed to enter the police station. There is no advocate there, and we are not aware what they are doing with her," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by a female relative of the detained woman. She has also added that at present, all four children stay at their place.
