Men killed in attack on law enforcers in Kaspiysk identified

Two men killed in an attack on policemen in Kaspiysk have been preliminary identified as 19-year-old Islam Abusalimov and Islam Polatov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported in the morning on August 28, policemen were attacked at a gas station in Kaspiysk. According to the updated information, a staff member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) was killed, another was wounded, and two attackers were killed.

Islam Abusalimov and Islam Polatov were residents of Kaspiysk and worked together at a craft shop. Meanwhile, one of the killed men was included in the police prevention registration list as a supporter of radical views, the "Kommersant" reports today with reference to a source from the law enforcement agencies.

The source has also added that a flag of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia was found at the place of the attack. According to the source, the attackers were shot and killed from service weapon by the third policeman who was not injured in the attack.
