Bataysk authorities refuse gays in marching along residential houses
A picket and procession of LGBT activists cannot be held in front of minors. This was declared by the Bataysk authorities. They refused to sanction the LGBT action notified by activist Nikolai Alekseev.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nikolai Alekseev, a founder of the Moscow gay parade, filed notifications to hold rallies and marches in support of the LGBT community in five cities of the Krasnodar Territory in early September. The authorities of Gelendzhik, Anapa, Tuapse, Novorossiysk, and Sochi refused to sanction the LGBT actions.
On September 25, a notification of a gay pride parade to be held in the city was received by the Bataysk administration. According to Nikolai Alekseev, the LGBT action is aimed "to draw the attention of the society and the authorities to problems in the field of human rights, homosexual people and gender minorities," the website of the Bataysk Mayoralty reports.
Nikolai Alekseev is refused to hold a rally, since the route of the LGBT procession is laid along the houses where families with minors live, near kindergartens, schools and a polyclinic.
The Bataysk Mayoralty has emphasized that the holding of the LGBT procession is not possible because of possible harm to the health of minors, their moral and spiritual development, the "Interfax-Yug" reports.
