Opposition speaks against transfer of Tbilisi land to Bidzina Ivanishvili's company

Today, the Tbilisi legislative agency was to consider the issue to change the status of the territory located near Freedom Square, between Pushkin Square and the Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Arts. It is in that place where an underground parking is planned to be constructed.

In the course of the discussion of the issue to change the status of land, a noise arose in the meeting room, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports with reference to the live broadcast of the meeting on the "Rustavi-2" TV Channel.

During the meeting, Elen Khoshtariya, a candidate for the post of the Tbilisi Mayor from the "European Georgia" Party, has accused members of the Tbilisi Sakrebulo (City Council) from the "Georgian Dream" Party that they intend to transfer the city property to Bidzina Ivanishvili.

"Don't you think there is a lack of responsibility here? Talk to people and tell them that you want to transfer the city property to Bidzina Ivanishvili," stated Elen Khoshtariya.

Khatuna Samnidze, a member of the "Republican Party", has also accused the ruling party of illegal decision-making.

Despite the opposition's protest, the Tbilisi City Council has approved the change in the status of 1900 square meters of land near the Pushkin Park, the "Georgia-Online" reports.
