Two Dagestanis inform power agents about found bomb and subjected to torture

Two young men found a bomb in Makhachkala, reported to power agents, and were detained. According to Shuai Magomedov, the father of one of the young men, after the detention, they were tortured.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on October 4, the vicinity of the former barrel factory in Makhachkala was cordoned off after a report about an explosive device planted there. In the morning on October 5, power agents reported that the suspicious object looked like an unfinished improvised explosive device (IED), and neutralized it.

"On October 4, my son Murad Magomedov and my nephew Ramazan Magomedov were at work in the factory and saw an object that looked like a bomb in the locker room. They called ‘02’ and reported the fact," Shuai Magomedov told the "Caucasian Knot".

On the following day, law enforcers asked the Magomedovs to come for a talk and detained them.

"An advocate was not admitted to them. We know that Murad and Ramazan were tortured; they have traces of torture. We believe that it was because they were tortured, the advocate was not admitted to them," said Murad’s father.

Relatives could contact Murad Magomedov, who told them that power agents found him involved in planting the IED; and demanded from him to name other participants in the crime. Murad said that under torture he confessed that he himself had made the bomb, but could not tell how and from what he did it.
