South Ossetia opens its representative office in Barcelona

In Catalonia, a representative office for the South-Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) was opened by Dmitry Medoev, Minister of Foreign Affairs for South Ossetia, who arrived in Catalonia on October 23. According to his estimation, residents of South Ossetia show great interest in the information about the recent events in Catalonia.

According to Dmitry Medoev, in due time, "the South Ossetian people made similar fateful political steps on the way to the formation of own statehood," reports the statement published on the website of the South-Ossetian MFA.

The representative office of the South-Ossetian MFA, opened in Barcelona, will serve to establish bilateral ties in the field of culture and the humanitarian sphere, reports the press service for the South-Ossetian MFA.

In his post "Catalan Significance", journalist Alan Parastaev, the author of the blog "South Ossetia as it is, was and could be" at the "Caucasian Knot", wrote that "with the maximum accuracy and with minimal errors, Catalonia follows the steps of South Ossetia of the 1990s."
