Dozens mosque-goers detained in Dagestan

After the Friday namaz (prayer), power agents detained parishioners of the mosques in Omarov Street in Makhachkala, and in the dwelling settlements of Semender, and Pervomaisk of the Khasavyurt District. Makhachkala police stations keep 25 detainees, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.

According to an eyewitness, policemen stopped drivers and pedestrians near the mosques.

"All those who were brought to police stations were split into two parts: those who had been on the so-called 'prophylactic registry' were interrogated, photographed, and released. Those who had been not were questioned longer; their personal data were recorded, including about family members; and they were put on the 'prophylactic registry'. They were released a few hours later," the "Novoye Delo" edition quotes one of the detained parishioners of the "Tangyim" Mosque, located in Omarov Street.
