CTO regime introduced in Gubden for the second time in 2017
The village of Gubden, Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, for the second time since the start of the year, has become the venue of a counterterrorist operation (CTO). The Karabudakhkent District as such gets into law enforcers' reports about the introduction of the CTO regime at least for the third time in 2017, as calculated by the "Caucasian Knot".
According to the Russian National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC), Gubden is under the CTO regime: law enforcers are searching for militants; they surrounded the house with a militant inside.
Earlier, the CTO regime was also in effect in Gubden from April 20 to June 13, 2017.
Besides, the CTO regime was introduced in a part of the Buynaksk District and the adjacent Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan on January 17.
The "Rosstat" (Russian Statistics Agency) reports that there are 81,860 residents in the Karabudakhkent District.
