29 orphans get apartments in Nalchik
Among the orphans who received apartments in Nalchik today, there are two former pupils of orphanages, who complained about the unfitness of the flats they had received earlier.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the residents of Nalchik, who received apartments in No. 145 in Khuzhokov Street within the orphans' housing programme, in October 2017 complained about high humidity in their flats located in the attic floor, mould, and absence of noise and thermal insulation of ceilings. After the publication of the "Caucasian Knot", law enforcers initiated a pre-investigation check and opened a criminal case against the developer company.
Roman Dadokhov and Azamat Cheuzhev, who had complained about the housing they received in Khuzhokov Street, today received keys to their apartments in Kadyrov Street. "We're very happy that we can move out of those flats and hope that we'll face no problems in our new apartments," Roman Dadokhov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
This year, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) plans to provide housing to 150 more orphans, Sultan Gekkiev, the deputy head of the KBR's Ministry of Education, said today at the key awarding ceremony held at the Ministry.
In total, according to the Ministry, there are 1472 orphans on the list, 1107 of whom have reached adulthood.
