About 600 cartridges found in water canal of Azerbaijani village

A message that unexploded ammunition was found in the Upper-Karabakh water canal in the territory of Yukhary Salambeili village was received by the Crisis Management Centre of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) on March 10.

The message was redirected to the Azerbaijani National Centre for Mine Action (ANAMA), whose experts went to the village, the "Sputnik-Azerbaijan" has reported.

After examining the canal, sappers found 480 rounds of 5.45 mm calibre and 100 rounds of 7.62 mm calibre, as well as two magazines for a submachine gun. The found ammunition was transported to the testing ground for liquidation, the "Trend" reports.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on March 7, 22 artillery shells were found in the territory of a farm in the city of Liman in the Lenkoran District.
