Stavropol activists inspired by pre-election trainings

In the Stavropol Territory, members of the movement "Golos" (Vote) and the local Navalny's office have held a series of trainings for observers. Participants of the trainings interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" noted the trainings gave them confidence that observers were able to prevent violations at polling stations.

Ivan Tansky, the head of the Stavropol Navalny's office, has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that 150 people attended the trainings conducted by the local Navalny's office in the Stavropol Territory.

According to Ivan Tansky, at all trainings, participants were taught "to monitor ballot stuffing, observe a protocol of election, count turnout, and settle a conflict with election commission members if necessary."

Pyotr Istomin, a resident of Stavropol, has noted that for him, the main result of the training was in "a discovery that observers have much more rights than it may seem at first glance." "When you come to election as an observer, you manifest your own civil position. However, you cannot do that without trainings, so those trainings are very important," said Pyotr Istomin.

At present, the Stavropol Navalny's office prepares for observers assignment letters to polling stations, Ivan Tansky reported. According to him, 400 residents of the Stavropol Territory voiced their desire to observe the election. However, assignment letters will be issued not to all of them: some people will count voters outside polling stations and no assignment letters are needed for that, Ivan Tansky noted.
