Chechen state employees report being forced to take part in pre-election campaign
Today, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by an official from the administration of the Chechen leader and government that on March 13, the Chechen authorities initiated a pre-election flash mob in social networks.
"The administration of the Chechen leader and government has launched a flash mob in social networks under hashtag #japojdunavybory! (I'll go to the polls!) The flash mob is aimed at increasing voter turnout for the presidential election... Only on the first day, the flash mob was supported by dozens of people," the official noted.
Employees of public institutions told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they were obliged to take part in the flash mob.
"Yesterday, our chief has warned me that Mylistory and other social networks have launched a flash mob 'I will go to the election', and we should all support it," says today Zarema, an employee of a Chechen ministry.
"There is an instruction to support the flash mob #japojdunavybory! initiated by the administration of the [Chechen] leader. To express your support, you should place in social networks a photo or a video with a poster containing the hashtag #japojdunavybory! This applies to every person," confirmed Imran, another public employee.
