Serzh Sargsyan elected Prime Minister of Armenia
Today, most of the Armenian MPs have voted today for the appointment of former President Serzh Sargsyan as the Prime Minister.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the MPs started voting against the background of mass protests in Yerevan and other cities of the country.
The protestors are dissatisfied with the fact that the former president can again lead Armenia, since according to the constitutional reform, the chair of the government is now considered to be the first person of the state.
Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the "Civil Contract" Party, the head of the parliamentary "Elk" faction, did not attend the parliament session. He led street actions of the Serzh Sargsyan's opponents in Yerevan.
