OSCE monitoring reveals no incidents in Karabakh conflict zone

Today, OSCE observers have conducted monitoring of the troops contact line and fixed no violations of the ceasefire, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan have stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parties in conflict are regularly stating ceasefire violation episodes. Thus, today Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of shelling five villages. In its turn, the NKR claimed about 150 bombardments of its positions by Azerbaijan undertaken during the week of May 6-12.

The observers of the OSCE Minsk Group are regularly monitoring the contact line of the armed forces of the NKR and Azerbaijan, but regularly fix no cases of ceasefire violation. On May 8, Azerbaijani MP Ziyafat Askerov reproached the OSCE group for being passive.

The monitoring has passed without incidents, the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website.
