CTO legal regime lifted in Dagestan

Today, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime has been lifted in the Tsumada District in Dagestan after the completion of special actions, reports the spokesman for the operative headquarters of the republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that early in the morning on June 3, the law enforcement bodies reported carrying out a special operation in the Tsumada District in Dagestan. At 4:15 a.m. Moscow time, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the vicinity of the villages of Kvanada and Gimerso.

"At 1:00 p.m. Moscow time, the CTO legal regime within the administrative boundaries of the Tsumada District was lifted," reported the spokesman for the operational headquarters in the republic as quoted today by the RIA "Novosti".

According to the officer from the operational headquarters, law enforcers completed special actions in the Tsumada District, the "Interfax" reports.

Let us remind you that, according to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), during the special operation, law enforcers had encountered a militant who refused to lay down his arms, entered into a shootout and was killed. He has been preliminary identified as the leader of the "Tsumada" grouping of militants.
