Aslan Gagiev accused of organizing six murders

Investigators have officially charged Aslan Gagiev, a native of the Ossetian village of Bolkvi, with organizing a criminal community and killing entrepreneurs, the "Kommersant" has reported today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 20 Aslan Gagiev was extradited from Austria to Russia and placed behind bars.

In total there are 49 episodes in Gagiev's case.

Investigators of the Chief Investigating Department for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) have put forward against Aslan Gagiev an official accusation of organizing a criminal community, several gangs that were parts thereof, and six intentional murders, the "Kommersant" has reported today.

According to investigators, Gagiev could organize the murders of the Deputy Prosecutor Oleg Oziev; an entrepreneur from North Ossetia; Dmitry Plytnik, the owner of the "National Capital" Bank; Alexander Slesarev, the owner of "Sodbiznesbank" and the "Kreditrast"; Oleg Novoselsky, the chairman of the Board of the "Kutuzovsky" Bank; and Andrei Burlakov, a former owner of the "Wadan" German shipyards.

According to the "Kommersant", Aslan Gagiev did not admit his guilt and refrained from giving testimonies.
