Relatives claim author of appeal to Ramzan Kadyrov suffers from mental deviations

A resident of Chechnya, who addressed Ramzan Kadyrov in connection with the information about dangerous vegetables, grown by Chinese entrepreneurs in the republic, is registered at the psychiatrist's place. This was stated by relatives of the man on the air of the Chechen TV Channel. Messages about poor-quality vegetables were also disseminated by other WhatsApp users.

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has suggested that this is a campaign against local vegetable growers.

Akhmed Dudaev, the leader of the Chechen State TV and Radio Company (GTRK) "Grozny", met the author of the call to Ramzan Kadyrov with a request to expel foreigners from the republic. The relatives of the author also attended the meeting.

The author of the appeal, a resident of the Geldagan village in the Kurchaloi District, suffers from "mental deviations," and in 1989-1990, he received medical treatment at a clinic, reports a story prepared by the Chechen GTRK. The information was confirmed by the man's brother.

The authorities have chosen the "most convenient variant for themselves" to deny the information, believes Mokhmad, a member of a Chechen NGO.

Authors of WhatsApp messages urged people to leave for protest on July 10, a resident of Grozny told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

There have been no protests in Chechnya recently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.
