Media: critic of Kadyrov denied medical care at Grozny SIZO

Ibragim Yangulbaev, a resident of Chechnya, arrested on charges of extremism, complained about a non-rendered medical help to him after a complex surgery. According to his defence, Yangulbaev is in grave condition, the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper reports.

The 24-year-old Ibragim Yangulbaev has been accused of inciting hatred and enmity towards the social group "Russian servicemen". The charges were based on the photos of civilians killed during the warfare in Chechnya, posted by him in the "VKontakte" social network. At the trial, the prosecutor said that Ibragim criticized the Chechen authorities, the newspaper writes.

On July 2, the young man appealed to the head of the medical unit of his SIZO (pre-trial prison) with complaints about his abdominal pains, but received no medical treatment.

On July 20, nine days after his surgery, Yangulbaev was returned to the SIZO. Since then, he received no treatment; and on July 27, his advocate learned a sharp health deterioration of her client.
