Azerbaijan counts 88 bombardments in the conflict zone

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone were fired from large-calibre machine guns, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 13, Azerbaijan announced 79 acts of shelling of its positions on the troops contact line; and the day before, on August 12, 86 acts of shelling. The MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh stated, in its weekly report for August 5-11, 200 acts of shelling by Azerbaijan.

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the villages of Kokhnegyshlag, Kemerli, Djafarli, Agdam and Zamanly, as well as on nameless heights, were shelled for 88 times within the last 24 hours, including from large-calibre machine guns, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD has reported today.

The shelling was conducted from the positions located in the territory of Armenia and "near the occupied villages," says the report posted in the MoD's website.

The MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet commented on this report.
