Azerbaijan counts 81 bombardments from Armenia

During the past 24 hours, Armenian militaries violated the ceasefire on the troops contact line for 81 times by using large-calibre machine guns, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 17, Azerbaijan counted 92 shelling episodes of its positions.

"During the past 24 hours, units of the Armenian Armed Forces, by using heavy machine guns, violated the ceasefire regime for 81 times in different directions of the frontline," the MoD said on its website today.

The shelling was delivered both from the territory of Armenia, and from the positions located in the areas that Azerbaijan considers as occupied, says the website.

As of 10:32 a.m. Moscow time, the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh had not commented on the above statement on their websites.
