Azerbaijan claims machine-gun attacks in border areas
The positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled in three villages bordering with Armenia, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 22-23, Azerbaijan claimed 87 cases of shelling from the Armenian side during a day. Earlier, during the week of August 12-18, Nagorno-Karabakh registered 170 cases of shelling from Azerbaijan.
"Units of the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and 86 times violated the ceasefire regime in different directions of the front during the day," the Azerbaijani MoD's website reports.
According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled in the villages of Gushchu Airym in the Gazakh District, Mundjuglu in the Tovuz District, and Zamanly in the Gadabay District.
