Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of 82 cases of shelling per day

Over the past day, the Armenian armed forces have violated the ceasefire regime on the contact line 82 times, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 26, Azerbaijan counted 78 shelling episodes from the Armenian side during the past 24 hours. Nagorno-Karabakh stated 200 bombardments committed by Azerbaijan during the week of August 19-25.

In the period from the morning of August 26 to the morning of August 27, the Armenian armed forces again violated the ceasefire, reports today the website of the Azerbaijani MoD.

According to the report, the Azerbaijani villages of Gushchu Airym and Jafarli in the Gazakh District, as well as the nameless heights in the Gadabay District were shelled both from the territory of Armenia and from the areas considered by Azerbaijan as its occupied territories.

As of 8:15 a.m. Moscow time of today, the websites of the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet released any comments on the Azerbaijani MoD's statement.
