Azerbaijan claims 88 cases of shelling from Armenian side

The Armenian armed forces 88 times violated the ceasefire in the conflict zone during a day, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 14, Azerbaijan claimed its positions had been shelled 92 times, and on the day before, on September 13, ‑ about 87 times. In its turn, the Ministry of Defence for Nagorno-Karabakh claimed that during the week from September 2 to 8, the positions of the Defence Army were shelled 200 times.

From the morning on September 14 to the morning on September 15, the Azerbaijani positions were shelled from the large-calibre machine guns in nine villages, including the villages of Gaimagly, Bala Jafarli, and at the nameless heights in the Gazakh District, in the villages of Gadjally, Kokhanebi, Asrik Djyrdakhan, Agbulag, Mundjuglu, and Garalar in the Tovuz District, in the village of Zamanly, and at the nameless heights in the Gadabay District, the Azerbaijani MoD reports today on its website.

The fire came from the positions located both in the territory of Armenia and from the areas "near the occupied villages," the Azerbaijani MoD reports.
