Azerbaijan claims shelling of its six villages in Karabakh conflict zone

Over the past day, the Azerbaijani positions in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 89 times, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 23, Azerbaijan registered 96 cases of shelling of its positions over the day, and on September 22, the Azerbaijani side registered 112 cases of shelling. In its turn, the Ministry of Defence for Nagorno-Karabakh claimed about 250 cases of shelling from the Azerbaijani side during the week from September 15 to 22.

Over the past day, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled 89 times, including from large-calibre machine guns, the press service for the Azerbaijani MoD reports today.

According to the report, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were attacked in the villages of Gushchu Airym, Mezem, Gyzylgadjyly, Agdam, Agbulag, Garaveliler, and at the nameless heights.

The fire came from the positions located in the territory of Armenia and from the areas "near the occupied villages," reports the press release posted on the Azerbaijani MoD's website.
