Sportive reporters welcome potential joining of Khabib's friend "Akhmat" Club

Zubair Tukhugov has not become a "superstar", but his performances for the "Akhmat" Club can be beneficial both for him and for the club, sports journalists assert. Although due to the scandal with the UFC, his situation is not the best, the "Akhmat" may benefit from his move.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 7, at the UFC 229 tournament, the Dagestani fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated the Irishman Conor McGregor and retained his champion's belt in the lightweight category. After the fight, Nurmagomedov started a brawl with his opponent's team members of the opposing team; and his second (bottle-holder) Tukhugov hit McGregor. Now, Tukhugov faces a break of his UFC contract. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has supported his fellow villager and invited him to perform under the auspices of the "Akhmat" Club.

Alexander Avgustin, sports journalist, and Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, Khabib's father, who is also his coach, believe that the UFC will not exclude Tukhugov from the tournament in order not to lose Nurmagomedov.

Zubair Tukhugov will ensure additional promotion for the "Akhmat" Club, Igor Ryazantsev, the editor-in-chief of the "Fighter TV", has notes. According to his story, the fighter is known not only for his latest scandal, but also for his performances in the United States.

Roman Mazurov, the presenter at the "Sport FM", has added that apart from fans, Tukhugov has a lot of detractors.

Ivan Kovalyov, a correspondent of the edition named "Championship", has noted that Zubair is more supported in Chechnya, since he comes from the republic; and in other regions of the Caucasus, he is known as Khabib's friend.
