In the 4th quarter of 2017, 4 people fell victim to armed conflict in Stavropol Territory

In October, November and December 2017, in the Stavropol Territory, at least four people were killed in the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to the law enforcement bodies, all the killed suspects were members of the armed underground.

In October and in November of 2017, no victims to the armed conflict were registered in the Stavropol Territory. All incidents with victims occurred in December 2017. At night on December 9, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the centre of Stavropol in order to prevent a terror act. According to the law enforcement bodies, three militants were killed during the special operation. At night on December 20, an unidentified person blew up, presumably, a grenade in an apartment building in Stavropol, and then he was killed by law enforcers. The law enforcement bodies suggest the suspect was a member of the "Zelenchukskaya" grouping of militants killed in Karachay-Cherkessia on December 18.

In the first quarter of 2017, no victims were registered in the Stavropol Territory. In the second quarter of 2017, two persons fell victim to the armed conflict. According to the law enforcement bodies, the killed suspects were local residents, involved in the activities of illegal armed formations (IAFs). In the third quarter of 2017, no victims to the armed conflict were registered in the Stavropol Territory.
