Five persons fell victim to flooding in Kuban
Two persons were killed and other three were injured. The fate of one more person still remains unknown after heavy rains in the Krasnodar Territory, reports today the regional Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 24, in the Tuapse District of Kuban, an emergency situation regime was introduced because of heavy rains. More than 140 people in eight settlements of the Krasnodar Territory were evacuated. In Tuapse, as a result of the bad weather, the bridge over the Tsypka River was destroyed. Residents of the city were left without gas and water supply. In the area of the flooding in the Tuapse District, a body of a woman was found.

According to its information, there are 1700 residential houses with almost 6000 people living in them, including more than 900 children, in 27 settlements of the flooding zone. Besides, 1500 summer household plots were also flooded. More than 380 people, including 99 children, were evacuated, reported an MfE official.
