Adam Medaliev gives details of Nartan attack

The attack by unidentified men on Adam Medaliev in Nartan, and the arson of his car in Nalchik were committed after his application submitted to the Arbitration Court (AC) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). His application directly touched on the interests of the land tenant in Nartan, Adam himself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 7, three masked men beat Adam Medaliev up right at his land plot in the village of Nartan; and at night on November 8, unidentified persons burned down Adam's car parked near his house in Nalchik.

Adam Medaliev links these crimes with his application lodged to the AC of the KBR in the morning on November 7. The application contains objections to the next extension of the bankruptcy proceedings of the local pilot production facility, Medaliev himself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, he submitted his application around 11:00 a.m. Moscow time, and around 4:00 p.m. Moscow time he arrived at his land plot in Nartan, where he has an unfinished house.

"Unidentified persons in a black Priora car without number plates were waiting for me at the land plot," Adam Medaliev said. He has added that they attacked him with an object similar to a baseball bat. According to his version, he managed to resist, and the attackers fled.

He returned home to Nalchik from Nartan, parked his car at the entrance and went up into his apartment. Around midnight, an occasional passerby noticed a burning car and called fire-fighters. "The attackers smashed the rear window, poured gasoline into the car and set it on fire," Medaliev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He is sure that the attack on him and the arson of his car were backed by the same persons, dissatisfied with his activities in connection with the land problem in Nartan.
