On November 5-11, 2018, two persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week of November 5-11, 2018, at least two persons were killed in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. No wounded were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
Both killed men were suspected members of the armed underground in Chechnya.
Attack on law enforcers
On November 11, on the outskirts of the Martan-Chu village in Chechnya, policemen encountered two residents of the Urus-Martan District, a 17-year-old teenager and a 34-year-old man, who tried to steal a car. When offered to surrender, the men opened fire on the police car. One of the gunmen was killed at the place, and the other died on the way to the hospital. One of the killed men had earlier criminal record for illegal possession and manufacture of weapons; he was sentenced to two years and six months of conditional sentence.
On November 5, the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported revealing the whereabouts of Ingush residents: Ibragim Gutsariev, a 34-year-old resident of the Kantyshevo village in the Nazran District, and Musa Tsechoev, a 32-year-old resident of the city of Sunzha. On October 29, they left for Chechnya and disappeared. The "Glavkom RI" Telegram channel reports that the disappeared men were found in Dagestan.
