Azerbaijan claims machine gun fire in conflict zone

During the last 24 hours, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled for 22 times, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 3, Azerbaijan counted 20 shelling attacks on its positions from the Armenian side. In its turn, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh announced 200 shelling attacks on its positions during the week from February 24 to March 2.

The fire was delivered from large-calibre machine guns, says the website of the Azerbaijani MoD. Armenia shelled the Azerbaijani positions stationed in the village of Gyzylgadjyly in the Gazakh District, in the villages of Agdam, Asrik Djyrdakhan, Agbulag and Mundjuglu in the Tovuz District. The shelling was also recorded "near the occupied villages."
