Lithuanian Ambassador to Russia: "Chechen Information Center in Lithuania will not be closed"

The Chechen Information Center in Lithuania will not be closed. The Lithuanian Ambassador to Russia Rimantas Shidlauskas announced it today at the press-conference in Moscow. ?Lithuania is a democratic country, we can not expel or close anyone?, ambassador underlined. At the same time he noted this Information Center that consisted of two people did not have any influence and ?did not make politics?. ?If there were no Russian mass media that constantly give information on Chechen Informational Center, everybody would forget about it?, said R. Shidlauskas. Nevertheless he imparted Lithuanian party had received signals from Russian authorities that had testified desirability to close the Center.
