Protesters in Dagestan demand to solve land problem
Near the village of Novokuli in Dagestan, at a rally, protesters stated that migrants' families cannot receive land plots and demanded from the authorities to take their interests into account when transferring land into ownership.
Several hundred people went out for a protest action near the village of Novokuli (Novostroy), one of the organizers of the rally told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The participants demanded to return the land plots that were transferred to third parties, Salim, a participant in the rally, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his story, the protesters had planned to block the federal highway, but later abandoned this idea.
According to the protesters, they began giving land plots to third persons before all the settlers were provided with them. "The plots have been distributed unfairly, with accounts of the interests of only a narrow circle of people. Many people cannot get plots at all, others receive them only in the outskirts," the "Region Online" quotes one of the protesters as stating.
Gadji Aidemirov, the head of the Novolak District, came to the rally and promised to clear out the situation, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
