Law enforcers detain Kizlyar protesters

From 10 to 15 people were taken to the police station from a people's gathering held in the outskirt of Kizlyar, where local residents opposed the installation of Chechen road signs.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 10, a video appeared on the Internet, in which young people demolished a road sign with the inscription "Shelkovskoy District" in the outskirt of Kizlyar. The dismantled signs will be installed again, said Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament.

Residents gathered for a rally at one of the Chechen signposts. Most of them dispersed after the detention of some participants of the spontaneous protest action.

The detainees face an administrative punishment for disobeying policemen's demands, the city police have informed.
