Soldier dies in Karabakh conflict zone

On June 13, a serviceman of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has died as a result of a shot from the Azerbaijani side, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the NKR has informed.

Artyom Khachatryan, 20, was killed in a defensive sector of the north direction of the troops contact line.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, Azerbaijan declared about 15 shelling attacks on its positions from the Armenian side within 24 hours. Besides, on June 12, fire was launched from an anti-aircraft missile complex during exercises in the border area with the NKR, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported. The MoD of the NKR, an unrecognized republic, has declared a violation of the flight zone by Azerbaijani aviation.
