Advocate reports new Malsag Uzhakhov's criminal case
Malsag Uzhakhov, the head of the Council of Teips of the Ingush people, who was arrested within the case of the rally in Magas, is accused of creating an organization that violates citizens' identities and rights.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Malsag Uzhakhov was arrested within the criminal case on the use of violence against policemen during the March rally in the city of Magas.
On May 22, 2019, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) suspended the activities of the Council of Teips for three months, but the provisional leadership of this organization announced that it would continue working and appeal against the MoJ's decision in court.
Malsag Uzhakhov was charged with a new charge, Djabrail Kuriev, his advocate, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Now, Uzhakhov is accused of creating a non-commercial organization (NCO), the activities of which involve encouraging citizens to refuse to perform their civil duties or to commit other unlawful acts. This article provides for up to three years in prison.
Mr Kuriev has confirmed that it is the Council of Teips, which is meant as the organization that encroaches citizens' identities and rights, the "MBKh-Media" reports.
