"Vayfund" reports Sweden's refusal to extradite Mansur Sadulaev to Russia

The Swedish prosecutor refused to extradite to Russia Mansur Sadulaev, the head of the "Vayfund", an association of the Chechen people.

"Mansur is to be released in the near future," reports the "Vayfund" in its Instagram.

Mansur Sadulaev was detained on July 8, reported blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov. He was detained at the request of the Russian authorities, the "Vayfund" reports.

The association "Vayfund" is positioned as an international non-profit association of "representatives of the Chechen people, Chechen organizations, and communities of the European Union countries and Council of Europe member states," and it is registered in the Swedish city of Norrköping. "The association is founded to promote the satisfaction of the interests (public, cultural, and religious) of Chechen people and Chechen communities; to represent the interests of the Chechen people in governments and international organizations," the "Vaifund" reports on its website.
