"Novaya Gazeta" tells about Kadyrov's shooting at detainee

Ramzan Kadyrov wounded Imran Dasaev, who was arrested on suspicion of murdering a policeman and taken to the residence of the head of Chechnya, in his leg, the "Novaya Gazeta" has reported.

Imran Dasaev (Datsaev) was detained on January 14, 2017. The head of Chechnya stated that the detainee had links with the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court, and killed the policeman on the order thereof.

On January 11, 2017, in the Kurchaloi District of Chechnya, during a special operation, four alleged militants were shot dead, and one was detained; Dasaev managed to escape. Two military servicemen perished.

On the day of his detention, Dasaev was taken to Kadyrov's residence, where Dasaev, unable to withstand it, said something abusing about Akhmat Kadyrov, Ramzan's father, the "Novaya Gazeta" article says.

"Ramzan snatched a pistol from a security and opened indiscriminate fire. One of the bullets hit Dasaev's leg," the article reports.

Earlier, the "Novaya Gazeta" informed that at least 27 people were executed in Chechnya on January 26, 2017, including Imran's cousin Adam.

On December 6, 2017, Tatiana Moskalkova, the Russian Ombudsperson, stated that representatives of the European Committee against Torture had visited jails in Chechnya and found no proofs of extrajudicial executions and illegal detentions.
