Soldier perished in Nagorno-Karabakh

At night on July 24, Volodya Galoyan, a soldier of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh, died from the received gunshot wound, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The incident occurred "under unclear circumstances" in the defence sector of a military unit. Volodya Galoyan, a military received a gunshot wound.

After the escalation of the Karabakh conflict in April 2016, the parties agreed on a ceasefire. Despite the agreement, shelling attacks are everyday recorded on the troops contact line.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 13, another soldier of the Defence Army, Artyom Khachatryan, died as a result of a shot from the Azerbaijani side.
