"Legal Initiative" reports new search of its office

The second search in three days of the office of the NGO "Legal Initiative", which was launched today by law enforcers in the city of Nazran, has to do with the defence of the interests of Ingush activists, rights defenders have suggested.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 14, the Moscow office of the "Legal Initiative" was searched.

Today, a search began of the office of the "Legal Initiative" in Nazran, Olga Gnezdilova, a lawyer for the NGO, has informed today.

Ksenia Babich, the press secretary for the "Legal Initiative", has suggested that the new search has to do with the fact that the "Legal Initiative" is defending Ingush activists, the "Novaya Gazeta" writes.

Employees of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) are questioning the office staff, but so far, they haven't seized anything, said Magomed Barakhoev, an advocate. "They are acting within the framework of some criminal case; probably, about rallies in Ingushetia," the "MBKh Media" quotes him as saying.
