After dismissal, Volgograd coach complains to Vladimir Putin about corruption
Boxing coach Pavel Deshevov, who was dismissed after a conflict with the principal of the Olympic Reserve School in Volgograd, asked President Vladimir Putin to pay attention to "corruption violations" in the region.
On November 20, Pavel Deshevov posted on his Instagram a video appeal to the Russian President reading: "Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich! Serious corruption violations in the Volgograd Region resulted in a disastrous situation with regard to the children's sports. I and thousands of residents of the Volgograd Region are appealing to you for help in resolving the problem," the boxing coach says in his video.
In his appeal, Pavel Deshevov also requests the Russian President to investigate "the situation with his illegal dismissal by the local authorities," the Boxing Federation of Russia (RBF) reported on November 20.
The RBF has announced launching its own investigation into the story of the Pavel Deshevov's dismissal.
"The Boxing Federation of Russia will conduct an investigation and achieve justice. [...] The Boxing Federation of Russia has already written an official letter addressed to the Governor of the Volgograd Region," reports the RBF in a statement posted on its website.
