Regina Gagieva's relatives criticize inquiry into her murder case

In the course of the investigation of the murder of Regina Gagieva, a resident of Vladikavkaz, seven investigators have already replaced each other, Roksana Gagieva, Regina's sister, has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 18, the 22-year-old Regina Gagieva was wounded with a knife and died at hospital a week later. According to investigators, she was fatally stabbed by her ex-husband, who escaped from house arrest, from jealousy. The suspect is in custody.

According to Roksana Gagieva, when in marriage, the husband used to beat up her sister, but law enforcers failed to react to her complaints.

According to Roksana Gagieva, Regina's relatives are unsatisfied with the course of inquiry: each new investigator again gets acquainted with the case, summons relatives for questioning; therefore, the progress is too slow.

"Within two months, seven investigators were replaced. When we come up with questions, they tell us each time: 'The investigator hasn't yet studied the case file.' And this despite the availability of a video record of [the murder], in which everything is clear," Roksana Gagieva told in her interview to the "Wings TV" Channel.
