On December 3, activists of the ruling "Georgian Dream" Party held a protest action in the city of Zugdidi, outside the local office of the oppositional United National Movement (UNM). During the clashes, a policeman was injured.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that protest actions caused by the failure of MPs' vote for the bill suggesting a change of the electoral system are being held in Tbilisi since November 14.

Activists of the ruling "Georgian Dream" Party and officials of the local self-government took part in the Zugdidi action.

The protesters' actions lasted for about an hour. They threw brooms, buckets, eggs and crutches at the UNM office building; the office front door glass was broken. A criminal case has been opened under the article "Damage to others' property", the "Sputnik Georgia" reported on December 4.

In the course of the action, the policeman, who was standing at the entrance to the office, was wounded by one of the thrown crutches. After that, the police pushed the protesters back, the "InterPressNews" reported on December 3.
