Makhachkala townspeople outraged at contractor's answer to criticism of works in central square
The new deadlines for the completion of the reconstruction of the square in Makhachkala, voiced by Arslan Dydymov, the contractor's spokesman, caused ridicule remarks of social network users.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Makhachkala residents had treated the multimillion-rouble expenditures for the reconstruction of the central square as inefficient, and criticized the quality of the works performed.
In response to the criticism, Arslan Dydymov, the manager of the square reconstruction project, congratulated the townspeople "with the new square." He has stated that he had personally seen tens of thousands of people "who are very pleased that the republic and the capital received such an object."
Mr Dydymov has noted that the reconstruction works in the square will be completed only in summer.
Dydymov's statements caused a lot of critical comments in the lenta_dagestan group on the Instagram. "Are they holding us for fools? Then, why they've held the official opening ceremony? It was declared there that the works were over. And now it turns out that not," the user _zakaryaeva_99 wrote with indignation.
"People themselves should tell what they like or dislike! Why are businessmen assessing themselves instead of people?" the user rkkfish wrote. "Tens of thousands are satisfied, where-eeeeeeeeee are you?" the user rabadangadzhimuradov did not believe Dydymov.
