Action in support of Abdulmumin Gadjiev held in Moscow

Activists held a series of solo pickets outside the building of the Permanent Mission of Dagestan in Moscow, demanding the release of the Dagestan journalist Abdulmumin Gadjiev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that series of solo pickets demanding to stop Abdulmumin Gadjiev's criminal prosecution are held every week by activists in Makhachkala.

Since June 2019, Abdulmumin Gadjiev, the editor of the religion section of the Dagestani weekly and website "Chernovik" (Draft), has been under arrest under the case of financing terrorism. He refuses to plead guilty.

On January 29, 2020, a series of solo pickets in support Abdulmumin Gadjiev was held at the Permanent Mission of Dagestan in Moscow, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. The picketers took turns standing next to the entrance to the Mission with posters reading "Freedom to Gadjiev!"
