NAC reports three militants killed in KBR

Three men who had prepared a terror act were killed in a shootout with law enforcers in the Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has informed.

According to the NAC, law enforcers had received information about the preparation of a terror act, and tried to detain the above three suspects near the village of Kremenchug-Konstantinovskoye, Baksan District. "At a detention attempt, the criminals rendered armed resistance and were killed by return fire," the NAC has stated.

Two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found in the house of one of the suspects, the TASS reports.

The RIA "Novosti" adds, with reference to the NAC, that nobody suffered from among law enforcers and civilians.
