Instagram users condemn public reproach of Tepsurkaev family
Subscribers to the Chechen Instagram publics have criticized Chechen authorities for publicly humiliating Zara Tepsurkaeva and her sons, who asked Ramzan Kadyrov for food.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Zara Tepsurkaeva, a resident of the village of Gekhi, Urus-Martan District, had asked the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for help. Her husband is disabled; and there are nine children in the family. The head of the district, Valid Abdureshidov, visited the Tepsurkaevs and said that the family should be gardening in order to solve the food problem. Zara Tepsurkaeva then repented for her appeal to Kadyrov. Nevertheless, officials handed over some foodstuffs to the family.
The video, in which the head of the Urus-Martan District, Valid Abdureshidov, rebukes Zara Tepsurkaeva and her two sons for their appeal for help, was posted on April 15 in the Instagram public of the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company).
Many users, who commented on the publication, expressed their disapproval of the public humiliation of people. "Why are they humiliating people? Well, they asked for help; surely, they are in need; but every time they show them as criminals, as if they had committed some crime," writes the user zaya_05_95_178.
"Why do they disgrace children?" the user louizaastamirova is indignant. "Her poor daughters; I guess how ashamed they are," the user 50angela__50demona is sympathetic.
"They wanted to dishonour them to the whole republic," said the user ka.mila4318. "They came just to humiliate them; and they pretend that they are working; this is all politics," the user amelina_95066 believes.
