KBR resident repents for coronavirus fake
A resident of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) faces a large fine for posting a fake video about coronavirus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported. Some Instagram users are against punishment for reposts in social networks, and criticized law enforcers for posting a video with an apology of the resident of the city of Tyrnyauz.
KBR policemen have reported that they found the author of the video clip "Is coronavirus a special operation to introduce a concentration camp around the world?" An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the 32-year-old resident of Tyrnyauz under the article on the dissemination of knowingly inaccurate socially significant information in media or social networks under the guise of reliable statements. He faces a fine of 30,000-100,000 roubles, the press service of the KBR's MIA has informed.
In the video that accompanies the post, the man admits that he had posted the video related to coronavirus, and promises not to do this again.
Some social network users have indicated the inappropriateness of such apologies. "The man is brought to responsibility under the law without it. Thus, why should he apologize to the camera like a schoolboy?" the user aslan_sufiyanovich is surprised.
"You should better hold criminally responsible for other crimes – narcotic drugs are sold all around; young people are dying from this; while you are imposing fines for some incomprehensible video," the user sonya_001 was indignant.
