Grozny residents tell about situation in the city after quarantine weakening
After Ramzan Kadyrov signed a decree on the second stage of easing quarantine, there are more people in streets of Grozny. However, the mask regime is still in force; and some passers-by were detained by law enforcers, the townspeople have informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 1, the Chechen authorities announced the relaxation of restrictive measures – walks are allowed in the republic, as well as going in for sports outdoors; it was also decided to reopen dentistries, beauty salons and hairdressers.
The news about the lifting of certain restrictions, which had been imposed because of coronavirus, is spreading among the residents of the republic gradually, said Libkhan Bazaeva, the head of the public organization "Women for Development". However, she has regretted that not all residents of Grozny follow the rules.
On the first day after the removal of some restrictions, the streets were not crowded, Tamerlan Aliev, a resident of Grozny, has stated.
At the meeting of the head of Chechnya with hospital chief physicians, which was covered by the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company), all the participants were without masks. This measure is ignored by both senior officials and doctors themselves, which outrages residents of the republic.
There is still some confusion in some rules of the self-isolation regime, because of which people are subject to penalties, Khava, a resident of Grozny, has complained.
